RALEIGH, N.C. — October 22, 2026 — The Pit Authentic Barbecue has once again been named to the Michelin Guide American South Recommended list, marking the second consecutive year the downtown Raleigh restaurant has received this recognition.
First selected in 2025 as part of the Michelin Guide’s inaugural American South selection, The Pit continues to showcase the rich tradition of Eastern North Carolina barbecue through its signature whole-hog barbecue and commitment to authentic regional flavors.
The Pit is honored to receive this recognition for a second year. The distinction reflects the dedication of its team and the continued support of its guests, who have made the restaurant a part of Raleigh’s dining scene in the Warehouse District since 2007.
